Sights set on MW Indoor Championships

FRESNO, Calif. – Following three weekends of meets during the winter, the Fresno State's women's track and field team sets its sights on the 2022 Mountain West Indoor Championships. The three-day championship meet is set to begin on Thursday morning in Albuquerque, N.M., with the women's pentathlon. The remainder of the events for the Bulldogs will take place on Friday and Saturday.

- Cierra Jackson – 3rd in weight throw (18.47m/60-7.25), 5th in shot put (15.05m/49-4.5)
- Tahj'nee Thurston – 4th in weight throw (18.46m/60-6.75)
- Amelia DiPaola – 9th in weight throw (17.63m/57-10.25), 7th in shot put (14.27m/46-10)
- In the first pentathlon of her career, Madison Hutton recorded the No. 2 point total in program history with 3,747 at the WSU Invitational.
- Ceonna Pipion was the top collegiate performer in the 400 meters at the WSU Invitational (second overall), clocking a 56.44.
- That same day, Cierra Jackson landed a toss of 15.05m/49-4.5 in the shot put to move her up to No. 5 on the program's all-time list.
- Tahj'nee Thurston picked up first place in the weight throw at the WSU Open, landing a personal best mark of 18.03m/59-2.
- Haley Abirached earned a win in the triple jump at the Husky Classic, eclipsing the 12-meter mark with a jump of 12.04m/39-6.
- In the season opener at the Cougar Classic, Cierra Jackson grabbed her first collegiate win in the weight throw with a career-best mark of 18.47m/60-7.25
- That day also saw Ceonna Pipion record her first win of the season in the 400 meters with a time of 56.76.
