Eliminated from Mountain West Tournament contention earlier in the day after Air Force knocked off New Mexico, Fresno State (27-28, 15-15 MW) brought the offense in the season finale racking up 19 hits and belted three home runs.
The Bulldogs got base knocks from 12 different 'Dogs with Ivan Luna and Tyler Davis leading the charge with three apiece.
Bobby Blandford, Vinny Bologna and Nate Thimjon each smacked long balls to give the Bulldogs 68 as a team for their most in a season since 2017 (76).
On the mound, Trevor Garcia tossed a season-high five innings holding the Wolf Pack scoreless and to four hits & one walk.
Kyle Pruhsmeier, Robbie Peters and Nikoh Mitchell closed out the game combining to keep Nevada to four hits and two runs.
How It Happened
The 'Dogs jumped on the board first with Blanford's two-run bomb in the second, Luna added a sacrifice fly in the third before the Bulldogs broke open the game with a four-run fifth.
A leadoff double by Davis and a single by Luna put a pair on base for Bologna who rocketed his seventh long ball of the year to left-center for a six-run lead. A solo line drive home run by Thimjon down the left field line pushed the 'Dogs in front, 7-0.
Bologna added a sacrifice fly to center in the sixth and after Nevada broke up the 'Dogs shutout bid with an RBI single, the 'Dogs got the run back in the seventh with an RBI single back up the middle by Nikoh Mitchell.
Davis added an RBI single in the ninth to push the 'Dogs to double-digits for the 10th time this season.
