SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – The Fresno State baseball team is set for a mid-week matchup against the Cal Poly Mustangs on Tuesday at 5 p.m. PT at Baggett Stadium in San Luis Obispo, Calif.
The Diamond Dogs are coming off a series sweep over the UNLV Rebels after snagging three wins in Fresno and clinching a spot in the Mountain West Championship.
Earlier this season the Mustangs defeated the 'Dogs 15-5 at Pete Beiden Field at Bob Bennett Stadium and 11-3 last week at Baggett Stadium.
Overall, Fresno State sits at 27-24 and Cal Poly owns an 18-31 record in 2023.

MOUNTAIN WEST PLAYER OF THE WEEK – GRADY MORGAN
- Grady Morgan had an electric week for the Bulldogs as he went 7-for-16 (.438) at the plate.
- Morgan crushed three home runs and a double last week, with a team-leading 1.063 slugging percentage.
- He made several impressive defensive plays with a diving catch in right-center and a leaping catch in right field and hit a two-run homer in Friday's dominant win over UNLV.
- In Saturday's win over UNLV, Morgan hit his first back-to-back home runs in a Bulldog uniform, the first of which was on the first swing of the game.Â
- For the third time in 2023, Roman Angelo has been named Mountain West Pitcher of the Week.
- Angelo pitched his first career complete game in Fresno State's 10-1 victory over UNLV with only three hits and no earned runs against him.
- Through nine innings he only allowed one walk and tossed a career-high 10 strikeouts while holding the Rebels to a .100 average.Â
- Murf Gray is claiming his sixth Freshman of the Week award following his performance this week in contests with the Cal Poly Mustangs and UNLV Rebels.
- Gray went 4-for-14 (.308) this weekend against UNLV with three RBI and a walk.
- Defensively, he recorded two putouts and six assists.
A LOOK AT THE MUSTANGS
- The Cal Poly Mustangs are currently 18-31 on the season, and last weekend claimed a series win over Utah.
- Earlier this season, the Mustangs defeated Fresno State 15-5 at Pete Beiden Field at Bob Bennett Stadium and 11-3 last week at Baggett Stadium.
- Cal Poly is led at the plate by Ryan Fenn who owns a .355 season average with eight doubles and 15 RBI.
- Projected starter Noah Larkin holds a 3.00 ERA and is 0-0 on the season with one strikeout on his resume.
