'Dogs head to the Capital to face the Hornets

FRESNO, Calif.-- Fresno State women's tennis team is heading north to the Bay Area for another weekend match up against Sacramento State. Â
Fresno State is coming off their first win of the spring season against Santa Clara, 5-2.Â
This weekend's lineup will feature Matilde Magrini, Yinglak Jittakoat, Misaki Kobayashi, Mariya Vyshkina, Hannah Pieper, Eliza Dunbar. Bulldogs wrap up their first road trip this season in Sacramento before returning to their home court to host Fresno Pacific and Stanislaus State on Feb. 9 at 10 a.m. PT and 3 p.m. PT. Fresno State leads the all-time series 9-0 since their first meeting in 2013 and will meet for the fifth time at the Goldman Tennis Complex. The last time out, the Hornets made the trip down to Fresno and fell to the 'Dogs by one, 4-3.Â
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT - Sacramento StateÂ
- Head coach Sophie Breault enters her second year leading the HornetsÂ
- Hornets are 1-2 going into Saturday's matchup, with their first win coming at Hawaii PacificÂ
- Sacramento State is coming off a loss to San Jose State, 2-5Â

*The set match up against the San Francisco Dons on Sunday has been postponed due to weather and will be played at a later time and date.Â
