WE MEET AGAIN…

Fresno State is facing San Jose State for the first time since defeating the Spartans in back-to-back games to claim the 2024 Mountain West Championship.
This came just one year after the Bulldogs watched the Spartans dogpile on Pete Beiden Field after winning the Mountain West Championship in 2023.
The Bulldogs and Spartans met in the semifinals and the finals of the double-elimination championship tournament, with the Bulldogs defeating the Spartans 8-5 to send them to the final "if necessary" championship.
Fresno State ultimately defeated the favored Spartans in a high-scoring affair, 16-11, on May 26, 2024, in San Diego, Calif.
In the regular season, the Bulldogs faced the Spartans in six games, going 2-4.
Fresno State won two of the three games in the series played in San Jose and were swept by the Spartans at home.
