Bulldogs complete Friday competition

SPOKANE, Wash. - Fresno State senior Maria Lawson was the lone Bulldog to compete on Friday at the Riverfront Invitational in Spokane.

Lawson took fourth in the weight throw with a toss of 17.12m/56-02. She hit that mark on her first throw of the day.

The Bulldogs have another small group competing tomorrow as Samantha Ebell and Emilia Lev will run in the mile, and Morgan Hutchison, Ashley Villafana Rodriguez and Diana Cortes will race in the women's 3000.

LINCOLN, Neb. -Â The Fresno State multis duo of Madison Hutton and Ella Spaulding competed Friday at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational. Janae Heffernan also competed in the long jump on Friday.
Â
Hutton took fourth of the 15 athletes with a 3,773 score. Spaulding did not finish the day, making it through four events and sitting atop the leaderboard before not competing in the 800m run.

Heffernan took third with an indoor career-best mark of 5.77m/18-11.25. Her third place mark came on her third attempt.
