'Dogs celebrate Senior Day with win over San Jose State

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State Bulldogs men's basketball team closed out the home slate with an 82–68 victory over the San Jose State Spartans men's basketball on Tuesday night at Save Mart Center.
Five Bulldogs finished in double figures, led by Jake Heidbreder's 20 points. Wilson Jacques added 16 points, DeShawn Gory scored 14, Jac Mani chipped in 13, and Cameron Faas contributed 12 points in the balanced offensive effort.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Fresno State set the tone early, led by efficient perimeter shooting and strong work on the glass. The Bulldogs knocked down eight three-pointers in the first half, including multiple makes from Jake Heidbreder and Cameron Faas, helping Fresno State build momentum offensively. Inside, Wilson Jacques controlled the paint with rebounds and second-chance opportunities as the Bulldogs steadily stretched their lead.
Fresno State led by as many as 13 points in the first half and carried a 45–34 advantage into the break after shooting nearly 47 percent from the field and holding San Jose State to just one made free throw in the opening period.
The Spartans tried to push back early in the second half behind the scoring of Colby Garland, but Fresno State responded with timely baskets from DeShawn Gory and Jac Mani to maintain control. The Bulldogs continued to dominate the glass, finishing with a 45–41 rebounding advantage, including 19 boards from Jacques, and knocked down key free throws late to prevent San Jose State from making a serious run.
Fresno State maintained a double-digit lead for most of the final period and closed out the contest with an 82–68 Mountain West victory at the Save Mart Center.
