Men's team earns three wins on Saturday

TURLOCK, Calif. - The Fresno State track and field team wrapped up at the Kim Duyst Invitational on Saturday. The Bulldogs earned three wins on Saturday, and saw a handful of Top 10 finishes.

Jaden Tungate won the men's 1500 in 3:59.91, a new personal-best. Tungate shaved .02 seconds off of his previous personal-best time in the race. He ran the fastest race in the 1500 by a Bulldog since April 2024.

The Bulldogs were the top three finishers in the men's 800 as Marcus Jauregui won in 1:54.54. Enrique Loredo was close behind, finishing second in 1:54.64, and Elijah Williams was third in 1:54.66.

Fresno State's men's 4x400 relay won the event in 3:18.43 behind the efforts of Bronson Ortlieb, Joziah Hagedorn, Elijah Williams and Jazper Malone.

In the women's 5000, Ashley Villafana Rodriguez and Diana Cortes took second and third, respectively. Rodrigeuz ran a time of 18:33.65 and Cortes clocked 18:54.32 in her race.

Breelyn Newsome took second in the 100m hurdles in a time of 14.68. Samarra Blake (15.97) and Tiana Osuna (16.36) also had Top 15 finishes in the 100m hurdles.

The Bulldog women's 4x100 relay team of Jai'ya Jones, Ani Brown, Kyndall Hannible and Zoe-Analia Goldsmith took second in 46.55. The men's relay team took third in the 4x100 with a time of 41.28.

Kamoni Reams finished second in the high jump (1.95m/6-4.75). Jabari King took second in the long jump (7.32m/24-0.25). Lynee Sims finished second in the triple jump (11.50m/37-8.75) while Josh Dunu took second in the men's triple jump (13.67m/44-10.25).

Three Bulldogs finished in the Top 10 in the women's 1500. Kushleen Khakh finished fifth (4:42.01), Kylie Ward was behind in sixth (4:46.86) and Hannah Garrity finished ninth (4:50.94). Khakh also took fifth in the 800, clocking a time of 2:19.16. Freshman Emilia Lev finished 12th in the race (2:22.97).

Trinity Bailey (59.48) and Hayden Craft (59.77) hit sub-minute marks in the women's 400. Corey Ford (50.67) and Julian Higareda (51.26) had Top 10 finishes in the men's 400 on Saturday.

In one of the larger races of the day, Bronson Ortlieb took seventh in the men's 100 in 10.81 seconds. Jabari King took 14th in 11.03 seconds.
