Former Bulldog Julian Neal drafted No. 99 overall

PITTSBURGH - Former Fresno State defensive back Julian Neal was drafted in the third round (No. 99 overall) to the reigning Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Neal played at Fresno State from 2021-24 before completing his collegiate career at Arkansas in 2025.

He appeared in 30 games during his Fresno State career, including 12 in the 2024 season. He had 35 tackles, 5.0 TFL, 1.0 sack, two interceptions and six pass breakups in his final season as a Bulldog. He earned his undergraduate degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from Fresno State.Â

As a cornerback, Neal is the second NFL Draft pick that was mentored by Bulldog cornerbacks coach J.D. Williams who was a former first round pick himself in the 1990 NFL Draft. Neal joins DaRon Bland, who was drafted in the 5th round of the 2022 NFL Draft to the Dallas Cowboys.
