FRESNO, Calif. - Following the completion of the 2026 NFL Draft on Saturday, which saw no Fresno State football players' names called, a handful of Bulldogs signed to the league as undrafted free agents and earned mini camp invites.
Â
Long snapper Wesley Brown signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brown spent two seasons at Fresno State (2024-25) and appeared in all 26 games during those seasons. Entering the 2025 season, he was named to the Patrick Mannely Award watch list, the award recognizing the nation's top long snapper. He transferred to Fresno State from San Mateo Junior College and began his collegiate career at Cal.
Â
Defensive lineman Finn Claypool was invited to a rookie mini camp with the Seattle Seahawks, but as a fullback. Claypool, who stands 6-foot-1, spent four seasons at Drake before transferring to Fresno State for his final year of eligibility. He quickly made himself at home with the Bulldogs, earning All-Mountain West honorable mention honors in 2025. Claypool does not have collegiate experience carrying the football, but began training after the season for the opportunity.
Â
Fellow defensive lineman Korey Foreman picked up a pair of camp invites from the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Foreman spent the last two seasons at Fresno State after he transferred in from USC where he spent three years.
Â
The longest tenured Bulldog in the class, Al'zillion Hamilton, signed with the Los Angeles Rams. Hamilton was a Bulldog for five seasons and ended his collegiate career with second team All-Mountain West honors. He appeared in 55 career games (2021-25). Hamilton will join former Bulldogs Davante Adams and Ronnie Rivers with the Rams.Â
Â
Linebacker Jadon Pearson received a mini camp invitation from the Las Vegas Raiders. Pearson, who was a Bulldog for one season, played collegiately at Air Force, Reedley College, Utah, Utah State and Fresno State. He came in as a sixth year senior in 2025, and made an immediate impact. He earned second team All-Mountain West honors in 2025, and started in all 13 games. He was also a team captain.
Â
Offensive lineman Jacob Spomer is also staying in California, signing a contract with the Los Angeles Chargers. Spomer was another long-time Bulldog, capping his career with a first team All-Mountain West honor in 2025. He spent four seasons at Fresno State and moved around the offensive line as the left tackle and center in his career. Spomer was also a team captain as a senior.
