FRESNO, Calif. – The Diamond 'Dogs are continuing their road trip this week with a three-game series against Washington State in Pullman beginning on Friday at 6:05 p.m. PT.

Fresno State returns to the Valley on Tuesday to face CSU Bakersfield on the road at 6:30 p.m. PT.

BULLDOG BONES

Head Coach Ryan Overland returns for his fourth season as the skipper for the Diamond 'Dogs in 2026.
The Bulldogs are coming off back-to-back championship seasons for their final stint in the Mountain West.
Fresno State boasts a roster with 16 returners and 21 newcomers.
The Diamond 'Dogs return the bats of Griffen Sotomayor, Sky Collins, Cam Schneider and Cayden Munster to the lineup.
California's Central Valley is widely represented on the Bulldogs' roster with 17 athletes hailing from Valley cities.
Fresno State was selected to finish in second place in the Mountain West Preseason Coaches' Poll this season with 55 points and three first-place votes.
Senior Griffen Sotomayor was selected to the Preseason All-Mountain West Team after a solid first season with the Bulldogs in 2025.
Sotomayor owned a .330 batting average for the Bulldogs in 52 starts as the primary DH. He totaled 68 hits with 16 doubles, one triple and seven home runs while driving in 41 runs and scoring 44 runs of his own. In his first season as a Bulldog, Sotomayor recorded 19 multi-hit games.
Four Fresno State starters from the 2025 season were either drafted or signed by MLB organizations in the offseason.
Former third baseman Murf Gray and starting pitcher Jack Anker were drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates, while starting pitcher Aidan Cremarosa was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays, and catcher Justin Stransky was drafted by the Chicago Cubs.
In addition, right fielder Bobby Blandford was signed by the Athletics as an undrafted free agent.
Assistant Coaches Ritchie Price, Troy Buckley, and Jack Karraker return to the Bulldog staff for their third season in 2026, while some familiar faces to the program were added to the staff in the offseason.
Fresno State Baseball Alums Tom Goodwin (Director of Player Development) and Nikoh Mitchell (Director of Operations) join the staff for the season.

A BRIEF HISTORY WITH THE COUGARS

Fresno State and Washington State are set for their final series as Mountain West opponents this weekend before both clubs become members of the Pac-12.
The Diamond 'Dogs own a 25-10 record over the Cougars all-time, dating back to 1966.
Fresno State last faced Washington State at home last season, sweeping the series in three games.
Washington State became a baseball-only member of the Mountain West prior to the 2025 season. In that time, Fresno State is 3-0 over the Cougars.
In head coach Ryan Overland's tenure, the Bulldogs are 5-1 over Washington State.
Fresno State's Griffen Sotomayor began his college career at Washington State and played two seasons for the Cougars before transferring to Fresno State.

A BRIEF HISTORY WITH THE ROADRUNNERS

Fresno State will meet with the Roadrunners for their second meeting this season on Tuesday.
The Bulldogs lead 21-17 all-time against CSU Bakersfield, and they defeated them in two midweek games last season and one this season.
In that win, Fresno State was led at the plate by Marcus Nolen, who went 3-for-5 with a run scored.
Sky Collins hit a home run and drove in three runs against the Roadrunners.
Jordan Haver received the win on the mound after pitching three scoreless innings with four strikeouts.
