- Head Coach Ryan Overland returns for his fourth season as the skipper for the Diamond 'Dogs in 2026.
- The Bulldogs are coming off back-to-back championship seasons for their final stint in the Mountain West.
- Fresno State boasts a roster with 16 returners and 21 newcomers.
- The Diamond 'Dogs return the bats of Griffen Sotomayor, Sky Collins, Cam Schneider and Cayden Munster to the lineup.
- California's Central Valley is widely represented on the Bulldogs' roster with 17 athletes hailing from Valley cities.
- Fresno State was selected to finish in second place in the Mountain West Preseason Coaches' Poll this season with 55 points and three first-place votes.
- Senior Griffen Sotomayor was selected to the Preseason All-Mountain West Team after a solid first season with the Bulldogs in 2025.
- Sotomayor owned a .330 batting average for the Bulldogs in 52 starts as the primary DH. He totaled 68 hits with 16 doubles, one triple and seven home runs while driving in 41 runs and scoring 44 runs of his own. In his first season as a Bulldog, Sotomayor recorded 19 multi-hit games.
- Four Fresno State starters from the 2025 season were either drafted or signed by MLB organizations in the offseason.
- Former third baseman Murf Gray and starting pitcher Jack Anker were drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates, while starting pitcher Aidan Cremarosa was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays, and catcher Justin Stransky was drafted by the Chicago Cubs.

CELEBRATING OUR SENIORS
- Fresno State will honor nine seniors on Sunday as part of the annual senior ceremony: Victor Arreola, Lee Trevino, Jett Ruby, Griffen Sotomayor, BJ Rodriguez, Sky Collins, Austin Young, Jake Riding and Drew Townson.
- Arreola spent five seasons with the Bulldogs, making 53 appearances on the mound.
- Lee Trevino and Jake Riding are both closing out their third seasons with the Bulldogs.
- Jett Ruby and Sky Collins, both Fresno natives and former Buchanan Bears, are wrapping up their Bulldog careers after spending three seasons on the field for Fresno State.
- Griffen Sotomayor, BJ Rodriguez, and Drew Townson, each from Valley cities, transferred to Fresno State after beginning their college careers elsewhere and played for two seasons there.
- Austin Young returned to the Valley to conclude his college career and play for the Bulldogs in his final season of NCAA eligibility.
