| Marcus West had two huge games against Louisiana Tech and SMU and was named gobulldogs.com's Athlete of the Week for Feb. 3-9. West got his week rolling against La Tech on Thursday, picking up his first career double-double by pouring in 16 points while grabbing a career-high 10 rebounds. The junior played a full 50 minutes in the Bulldogs' 80-75 double overtime loss to Tech. Just two days later, West was even more impressive in leading Fresno State past SMU 75-74, again in double overtime. The Frederick, Md., native scored a career-high 32 points and netted nine three-pointers, tying a Fresno State and WAC record. West also picked up five rebounds and played 49 minutes. His 99 minutes played set a program record for most over a two-game span. For his efforts, West was also named WAC Player of the Week. | ||
