PERSONAL: son of Tina and Derrick Backstrom... youngest of seven siblings (Mahki, Denzel, Lil Derrick, Mark, Jessica, Jasmine)...brother Majki plays professional baseball in the Braves organization... his favorite athlete is his brother Mahki because he is the hardest worker he knows... he chose Fresno State because of the coaching staff and the environment of the university.
