HIGH SCHOOL: Was a dual-sport athlete at Central Valley High School in football and track … playing on both sides of the ball, Barragan recorded 103 tackles as a safety and 1,111 rushing yards as a running back in his senior season … scored 18 career rushing touchdowns and tallied 1,304 career rushing yards … added 304 career tackles … was the Western Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year and a two-time team Defensive Player of the year … named a Blue-Grey All-American … member of the 2017 Bee’s All-District team … three-time first team All-League on defense … also maintained a 3.5 GPA and carried academic honors throughout high school.
