HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Omaha Westside High School … played for Coach Paul Limongi … helped Westside to back-to-back state championships in his final two seasons … as a senior, Okafor helped the Warriors to a perfect 13-0 record by making 18 tackles while recovering four fumbles and breaking up three passes … was an honorable-mention all-state selection by both the Omaha World-Herald and Lincoln Journal Star, and he earned honorable-mention All-Metro recognition … as a junior, Okafor contributed on a defense that helped the Warriors to a 12-1 record and the Class A state title … he was also a member of the track team … finished second in the Class A 100-meter dash as a senior and competed for Westside’s 4x100 team … was also a state qualifier in the 100 meters as a junior.
