Fresno State: (2004) Owned the team[apos]s second-best mark in the hammer throw, tossing a 162-10 at the Modesto Relays ... also had high marks of 135-10 (discus) and 40-0 (shot put). Bakersfield Junior College (2003) Redshirt ... (2001-02) Placed third at state meet during his first season at the school ... received the 2002 Steve Wilson team award ... top marks were: 131-3 (discus) and 155-1 (hammer) ... at the league meet, finished sixth in the hammer and seventh in the discus. Personal: Born April 21, 1981 in Bakersfield, Calif. ... parents are David and Denise Poncetta ... has one brother, Zander, and two sisters, Melissa and Emily ... hobbies include playing basketball and listening to music ... admires his parents the most because 'they work hard to help me go to school' ... chose to attend Fresno State because of the agricultural program.
