D'Shara Strange enters her second season with the Fresno State women's basketball program, and first as an assistant coach.
Strange previously served as the Bulldogs' Director of Operations during the 2019-20 season. Her duties included the day-to-day operations of the basketball office, tracking student-athletes' academics, coordinating travel, film exchange, as well as organizing summer camps, clinics and community service events.

Strange joined the Bulldogs after spending the previous three seasons as an assistant coach. Last year, she was an assistant coach at Idaho State where she helped the Bengals to a 20-11 season and a trip to the WNIT. Aside from her on-court coaching at ISU, Strange worked as a camp and clinic director, was in charge of practice schedules, managed the team's travel and equipment, worked as a liaison with academics and played a pivotal role in recruiting. Â
Previously, Strange spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Montana Tech. With her on staff the NAIA program's winning percentage improved by 15 percent during her time compared to the previous two. The scoring production of her guards also rose to 17 percent in her first year as the group accounted for 86.4 percent of the team's overall output. She coached five players to all-conference honors with three garnering all-America accolades.

Strange, a former standout under White, graduated from Northern Colorado in 2015 after being named Big Sky Player of the Year. She was a three-time first-team all-Big Sky selection, was the 2011 Big Sky Freshman of the Year and was the league's Defensive Player of the Year in 2012 and 2013. She left Northern Colorado as the program's all-time leader in rebounds (1,039) and steals (346), and ranks second in scoring (1,891). She also is the Big Sky's all-time leader in steals. Strange was inducted into the Northern Colorado Athletics Hall of Fame in 2020.

After college, Strange played professionally for two seasons in Europe, spending the 2015 season with Aluinvent DVTK in Hungary and the 2016 season with the Donau-Ries Wohnbau Angels in Germany.

She earned her bachelor's degree in exercise science and a completed her master's degree in sports administration in 2015.Â
