Bulldog Wrestling Saddled Up With First Home Loss

FRESNO, Calif. - The Bulldogs went toe to toe with the No. 21 Boise State Broncos but end up running out of gas, as the Broncos win the last two matches en route to a 21-15 victory.
Fresno State?s 174-pound wrestler Dan Jackson (So., Visalia, Calif.) started off the dual match with an impressive technical fall win over Jon Terry 23-7, that gave the 'Dogs a 5-0 team lead.
The next match featured Bulldog Jason Rossotti (Jr., Selma, Calif.), and he extended the team lead to 8-0 with a close victory over Cash Edwards 10-6 despite a bruised shoulder.
No. 7 Paris Ruiz (Sr., Fresno, Calif.) and Darrick Duran (So., Fresno, Calif.) helped the ?Dogs cause with one win apiece, but the charging Broncos would not be denied as they came from behind to defeat the ?Dogs.
Fresno State is in action on Jan. 14 against the Brigham Young Cougars. The dual match starts at 7 p.m. in the North Gym.
