Women's Basketball Takes Out Eastern Washington 67-45

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State held Eastern Washington to 18 percent shooting in the first half and 29 percent in the entire game en route to a 67-45 victory in Game 2 of the fourth annual Fresno State Classic. The win puts the Bulldogs (1-0) in the championship game against New Mexico State tomorrow at 3 p.m. The Eagles (0-3) will play Southeast Missouri State in the consolation game at 1 p.m.
Fresno State took control of the game from the beginning, bolting to a 15-0 lead seven minutes into the contest. Lindsay Logan's two three-pointers highlighted the run, which put the Bulldogs in front to stay. The Eagles put together a small run and were able to make the score 31-17 at the half.
Eastern Washington got as close as it would get with 7 minutes 45 seconds remaining in the game. A Jamie Granger jump shot brought the Eagles within nine points at 48-39. However, three minutes later the Bulldogs had extended the lead to 57-41, putting the game away for good.
Lindsay Logan led all scorers with 19 points and five assists. Two Bulldogs, Omelogo Udeze and Channan High, had double-doubles. Udeze had 15 points and racked up 10 rebounds while High had 12 points and 11 rebounds. It was Udeze's third career double-double while High registered her first.
