Bulldogs Lose to No. 16 Arizona State

FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State's wrestling team dropped to 6-11 with its 32-12 loss to 16th-ranked Arizona State on the road.
The Sun Devils shut out the Bulldogs in the first five divisions, from 125s to 157s, jumping out to a 21-0 lead.
Fresno State won the next three of five divisions, but the effort was not enough to make up for three Arizona State pins and a total of seven wins of 10 matches in the meet.
Sophomore Sean Sheets got Fresno State's first win, beating Jamie Robbins 3-0 in the 165 division. Redshirt freshman Anthony Rubalcava followed up by pinning Arizona State's Ron Renzi in 2:09 at 174s.
Fresno State's final win came from No. 8 Clint Walbeck in the heavyweight division. He beat Clifford Starks 5-0 to bring the score to 32-12.
The wrestling squad hosts Wyoming on Feb. 20 in its last dual meet of the season.
