Fresno, Calif. - Fresno State continued to battle through tough competition and injury problems in a road loss to Oklahoma State on Friday Night. The Bulldogs pulled out a win from a different wrestler, as 184 pound junior Greg Gifford walked away with a 9-7 decision over Jack Jensen, but the Bulldogs fell to Oklahoma State 44-3.
The Bulldogs again were forced to use a limited lineup against the Cowboys, forfeiting three consecutive weights in the middle of the night to destroy any real chance to upset the Cowboys. Greg Gifford put up a good show at 184 pounds to get the win, but the two-time defending champs had too much depth for the Bulldogs.
Fresno State will get one more chance in the sooner state as the team wrestles against Oklahoma tomorrow afternoon in a dual match matinee. The team returns home next week to face Cal State Fullerton.
