The two top highlights from the meet include Paul Zwama and Remington Blair's performances.
Zwama ran the 10K in 29:41.92 a significant personal improvement and a time that should qualify him for the NCAA's. Zwama beat his previous personal best of 29:54.94 by nearly 13 seconds that he set in 2009 at the Mt. SAC relays. Zwama's 10K time currently ranks him in the top 25 among all division one competitors at 24th.
Freshman Blair ran the 400-meter dash in a time of 47.97. Blair is currently the fastest 400-meter sprinter in the WAC from his performance against Cal Poly (47.32). His sprint at Stanford came close to his best.
"Blair ran well," said head coach Scott Winsor. "I think he is still figuring out how to run it. He has some old habit and needs to get out a little better in first 200-meters but he is very competitive."
Kendrick Young ran the 400-meter hurdles in a season-best time of 54.03. His time ranks him second in the WAC.
Emmanuel Jackson scored the second highest in the meet in the triple jump with a mark of 48-2 (14.68m).
On the women's side Marrijtje Molenhuis had a season-best performance in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:37.62. Her time currently ranks her fifth-best in the WAC.
Taylor Jackson triple jumped to her season-best mark at 36-11.75 which currently ranks eighth best in the WAC.
