Bulldogs seek to continue home success against Rams, Cowgirls

The Fresno State women’s soccer team hosts Colorado State on Friday at 2 p.m. PT and Wyoming on Sunday at noon; parking on Friday will be free in Lot P20 off Barstow
FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State women's soccer team hosts Colorado State on Friday at 2 p.m. PT and Wyoming on Sunday at noon at the Fresno State Soccer and Lacrosse Field.

On Friday, free parking will be available in Lot P20 off Barstow, courtesy of Fresno State Athletics. Fans must receive a parking pass when they pull into the lot's main entrance at Campus Drive beginning at 1 p.m.
Sunday includes normal free parking in the Red Lot. As always, home matches include free admission and will be streamed live and for free on the Mountain West Network.

The Bulldogs (6-7-1, 1-4-1 MW) haven't lost at home since August and look to keep their five-game home unbeaten streak alive.

Colorado State has been outscored 24-11 by opponents this season and has been shut out in over half its losses. The Rams rank last among MW members in shots (142) and shutouts (2) and are second to last in points (26), goals (11) and assists (4). The team's lone MW win this season came in a 1-0 double overtime victory over Nevada on Sept. 30.

Offensively, Colorado State is led by sophomore Kaija Ornes (4 goals) and senior Amy Eckert (2 goals). The Rams have had three different goalkeepers protecting the net this year, with the majority of minutes coming from junior Paige Brandt (27 saves, 1.51 GAA).

About the Cowgirls (7-6-1, 3-3-0 MW)
Wyoming comes into this weekend on a three-game winning streak, but has lost its last three matches on the road and by shutout. The Cowgirls have outscored opponents 21-17 this season and ranks third among MW members in goals and shots (203) and leads the MW in corner kicks (84).

Four different Cowgirls have multiple goals this year – Freshman Michaela Stark (5), senior Katie Marcheso (3) and juniors Alisha Bass (3) and Summer Halle (3). Junior goalkeeper Georgia Rowntree has played 99 percent of the minutes for Wyoming this season and has recorded 50 saves, a 1.18 goals-against average and five shutouts.
