• Fresno State owns a two-game lead in the West Division of the Mountain West standings after defeating San Diego State in San Diego 27-3 last Saturday.
• Fresno State's only two losses after seven games this season are to No. 1 Alabama and No. 11/12 Washington - both road games.
• If Fresno State captures its sixth win on Saturday, Jeff Tedford will become the third  head coach in the history of the program to lead Fresno State to a bowl game in year one.
• The Bulldogs, who have compiled a 5-2 record this year, have the nation's best win improvement (+4). Marshall, Michigan State and Virginia have all improved its win total by three games from 2016 to 2017.
• The Bulldogs have not lost to the Rebels at home since 1983 - winning their last seven contests over that span.
• Jeffrey Allison was named the MW Defensive Player of the Week on Monday after leading the team tackles (10), posting a TFL and forcing a fumble last time out.

• In three home games in 2017, Fresno State has outscored its opponent 145-21, averaging 48.3 points per game vs. 7.0 points per game allowed.
• Key stat: the Bulldogs' 18th-ranked (FBS) rushing defense that gives up 115.7 yards per game will be put to the test against the Rebels' 11th-ranked (FBS) rushing offense that manufactures 281.3 yards per game.
• Fresno State assistant coaches Jamie Christian (RB/STC) and J.D. Williams (DB) were on the opposite sideline last season as both were apart of UNLV's staff in 2015 and '16.
