• Sunday's game will broadcast over-the-air on Stadium, and stream online on the Mountain West Network with Randy Rosenbloom on the call. Andrew Tomsky will have the call for 790 AM ESPN2 Radio.
• After four straight games on the road, Fresno State returned home on Thursday night against Pacific and came away with an 81-70 victory.
• Sunday's contest provides an opportunity for the Bulldogs to snag two wins in a row for the first time this season.
Bulldog Bones
• On Dec. 7, Fresno State reached 81 points for the second time this season. It marked the first time since the 2013-14 season that the 'Dogs have eclipsed the 80-point barrier more than once in a season. The 2013-14 team scored 80-plus on three occasions.
• Against Pacific, Bree Delaney broke the freshman record for points in a single game with 28, passing Jalessa Ross and Murphy Attebery who each had 24.
• Candice White is the lone Bulldog to score double figures in all eight games this season, reaching a career-high 34 points on Dec. 2 at CSUN. The junior guard leads the 'Dogs in points (17.0), rebounds (6.1), assists (2.1) and steals (2.1).
• White scored 22 of her 34 points in the second half against CSUN, three shy of her career high for an entire game.
• White is one of three players nationally to be perfect from the free-throw line (30-of-30). Her streak of 30 made free throws ranks first in the country.
• In the absence of Kristina Cavey, who was averaging 14.0 points per game during the first three games, freshman Matti Utti has helped out the team's scoring, averaging 13.4 points per contest, an increase of 10 points from her first three games.
Fresno State vs. Montana
• This is the first meeting between the Bulldogs and Lady Griz.
A look at Montana
• The Grizzlies come into the game with a 3-5 record. They lost their first five games of the season but are currently on a three-game winning streak thanks to victories over Cal State Fullerton, Long Beach State and Stephen F. Austin.
• Montana is led by McKenzie Johnston on the offensive end. She is the lone Grizzly averaging double digits at 11.6 points per game. She also leads the team in 3-point percentage (35.7%) and assists per game (4.4).
• The Grizzlies have been a relatively low-scoring team thus far as they average 59.9 points per game as a team. Montana gets most of its scoring from the inside as the Lady Griz have only knocked down 23 percent of their 3-point attempts this season.
Taking what's FREE
Somewhat of a lost art in today's game, the free throw line has become a spot of consistency for Candice White. Last season, the junior strung together streaks of 15, 16 and 18 consecutive made attempts. This season, White has strung together 30 straight to open the season, surpassing the 18 she opened up the 2017-18 season with.
? White is currently one of three players tied for the national lead in free-throw percentage (100%). Her 30 made attempts ranks first among the three players still perfect from the line, 11 ahead of Seton Hall's Jaquan Jackson.
? White was 18-of-18 through five games last year, missing her first attempt on Nov. 30, 2016. Her 18 consecutive free throws were the most on record to start a season by a Bulldog dating back to the 1983-84 season. Records are not available prior to the 1983-84 season.
? Dating back to last season, White has made 36 straight free throws.
Delaney's record night
In Fresno State's last game, Bree Delaney scored a freshman record 28 points. She finished 7-of-12 from the field (6-8 3-pt FG) and 8-of-10 from the free throw line to lead the Bulldogs to an 81-70 victory over Pacific.
? Delaney's 28 points was four better than Jaleesa Ross and Murphy Attebery who previously held the freshman record.
Mix and match
Due to the youth on this year's team, sticking with one consistent lineup was going to take time. Throw in injuries and lineup changes have become a very common occurrence for the 'Dogs this season. In six of eight games, Fresno State has trotted out a new-look starting five. Only twice have the Bulldogs had the same starting lineup in back-to-back games.
White shoots and swipes
Not only has Candice White knocked down her last 36 free throws dating back to 2016-17, the junior is also near the top of the Mountain West in steals, ranking third with 2.1 steals per game.
• White has increased her average steals per game from last season by 0.6 from 1.5 to 2.1.
Utti shines in starting role
During the last five games, including starts in the last four, Maddi Utti has compiled five straight double-figure scoring efforts while shooting an efficient 28-of-40 (70%) from the field. She has also averaged a team-high 7.8 rebounds per game during the stretch.
? Utti has logged two double-doubles in the last four games (12 points & 10 rebounds at Texas State and 12 points & 10 rebounds versus Pacific).
? She is the first freshman to score double figures in five straight games since Jaleesa Ross in 2008. The program's all-time leading scorer posted a stretch of 13 straight games in double digits during the 2007-08 season.
Not your typical freshmen
With four freshmen who came in ready to compete from the start this season, head coach Jaime White has thrown her newest group into the fire allowing them to learn on the fly. Fresno State's four freshmen Bree Delaney, Genna Ogier, Maddi Utti and Aly Gamez are collectively averaging 21.6 minutes per game.
• Utti and Delaney are averaging 26.9 and 23.5 minutes per game, respectively, while Ogier and Gamez are averaging just south of 20 minutes apiece.
• Like Utti, Aly Gamez is a recent addition to the starting lineup. Gamez started at point guard for the first time this season at UC Santa Barbara on Nov. 30.
Bulldog youth
When the 2017-18 season got underway, Fresno State entered it as the 11th-youngest team in the NCAA in regards to the percentage of underclassmen on its roster. With four freshmen joining the team this season, and no seniors on the roster, 69.2 percent of the Bulldogs' roster is made up of underclassmen.
• The Bulldogs have a total of nine underclassmen on the roster; four freshmen, four sophomores and one redshirt sophomore.
• Freshmen account for 30.8 percent of the Bulldogs' roster.
• This marks the third straight year that the Jaime White has had at least four freshmen on the roster.
