Five 'Dogs compete at 41st Annual California Collegiate Open

Fresno State freshman 133-pounder Gary Joint finished first at the California Collegiate Open on Saturday.
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Five Bulldogs competed in the 41st Annual California Collegiate Open on Saturday hosted at San Francisco State as freshman Gary Joint went a perfect 3-0 on the way to first place honors.
In addition to Joint, who won all three of his matches by bonus points, three other 'Dogs finished among the top four at their respective weights as freshman Jeremy Trinh finished third at 125 pounds going 4-1 on the afternoon to improve to 13-6 overall on the season.
Freshman Danny Salas, seeing his first action of the season at 197 pounds went 3-2 to finish fourth, while Wisconsin transfer Jackson Hemauer saw his first action at Fresno State competing at 174 pounds finishing with a 2-2 mark to also finish fourth.
Finally, freshman Robert Garcia IV also competed at 125 pounds winning his first match, 10-4 before an injury sidelined him for the rest of the afternoon.
