• Cal Poly is 1-2 on the season with its lone winning coming in an 87-65 victory over the Academy of Art in its season opener on Nov. 6.
• The Mustangs dropped their last two contests on the road to Oregon State (79-54) and a three-point game at Sacramento State (88-58).
• Devin Stanback is the team's leading scorer at 24.7 points per game after the senior scored 30 last time out against the Sacramento State. The 6-foot-3 center is also second on the team in rebounding at 7.7 per game.
• Alongside Stanback in the front court is 6-foot-1 Katie Nunnelley is averaging 8.0 points per game and a team-high 9.7 rebounds per contest.
• The Mustangs have been strong on the glass, outrebounding their opponents by 10 per game (50.3-40.3).

- Fresno State is coming off of its fourth straight season-opening loss when playing on the road. In each of the previous seasons though, the Bulldogs have returned home to win their second game on the schedule.
- Maddi Utti produced a career-high 25 points in the season opener at Northern Arizona.
- The Bulldogs' top scoring trio from a year ago (Gamez, White, Utti) produced 51 points in the season opener after averaging a combined 37.9 points during the 2017-18 season.Â
- The 'Dogs were picked third in the Mountain West's preseason poll after coming off of a 17-15 season in which they finished tied for fourth in the Mountain West at 11-7 and picked up a win in the Women's Basketball Invitational.
- The 'Dogs will again be led by Mountain West preseason all-conference selection Candice White who led the league in scoring a season ago at 18.9 points per game along with leading the team in rebounds, assists, steals, made 3's, free-throw percentage and minutes. She is on the Ann Meyers Drysdale watch list which recognizes the top 20 shooting guards in the country.

- Tuesday night will be the first meeting between Fresno State and Cal Poly since December 5, 2015 when the Mustangs defeated the Bulldogs 64-60 in San Luis Obispo.
- Fresno State holds a 29-13 lead all-time against Cal Poly.
- The Bulldogs are 16-3 when hosting the Mustangs but are just 1-1 at the Save Mart Center.
- After a 10-year hiatus, the schools began playing once again in 2010 with each school picking up two wins.
- In a high-scoring opening quarter that saw Fresno State and Northern Arizona level at 24-24 after both teams shot over 55 percent, the Bulldogs got outshot by 43.6 percent in the second as NAU took a 13 point lead behind eight 3-pointers (8-of-9). Close through the second half, the 'Dogs tried to mount a comeback but the Lumberjacks continued to have answers, defeating the 'Dogs 86-73.
- NAU knocked down a program record 15 3's (15-of-20).
- Maddi Utti scored a career-high 25 points for the Bulldogs while Candice White chipped in 18.
- For only the second time in her young career, Maddi Utti recorded at least 20 points in a game, shooting 11-of-16 for a career-high 25 points in the season opener. Utti's last 20-point performance came on Nov. 30, 2017 when she scored 20 points (9-of-10) at UC Santa Barbara.
- For just the second time since Nov. 19, 2017, junior Kristina Cavey was back in the starting lineup at Northern Arizona. Cavey started the the first three games of the 2017-18 season before being sidelined until the start of Mountain West play. Despite returning, she was not inserted into the starting lineup until the quarterfinals of the Mountain West tournament on March 6, 2018.
- She accounted for 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 steals in 23 minutes versus NAU.
- Cavey averaged 12.5 points per game in four games as a starter last season.
- Game one of the season saw senior Candice White just miss her 2017-18 average, scoring 18 points. It was her 56th career game in double figures.
- She moved to No. 19 on the all-time scoring list with 1,125, passing Geri Gainey.
