'Dogs wrap up ASU Invitational

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Fresno State men's tennis team finished the ASU Invitational with a 4-1 loss to Loyola Marymount on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs also faced Arizona State in singles play, falling 4-0.

Doubles – The Lions took the doubles point, to take a 1-0 lead into singles play.

Cagatay Soke and Xander Veys fell at the No. 2 position 6-4. At the No. 1 position, Cem Erturk and Zdenek Derkas defeated their opponents 7-5.

The doubles point came down to court #3. Youssef Hassan and Mantas Bugailiskis fell to their opponents in a tiebreaker 7-6 (6), securing the doubles point for the Lions.

Singles – LMU took a 2-0 lead when Erutrk fell 6-4, 6-2.

The 'Dogs earned their only point of the match at the No. 2 position when Jeremy Moser defeated his opponent in straight sets 6-4, 6-4.
