'Dogs fall 4-3 in San Diego

SAN DIEGO – The Fresno State men's tennis team fell to the University of San Diego 4-3, Sunday afternoon.

The Bulldogs fall to 7-5 on the year, 0-3 on the road.

Doubles – Fresno State earned the doubles point for the fourth time this season.

Cem Erturk and Mantas Bugailiskis defeated their opponents at the No. 1 position, 6-2. Jeremy Moser and Youssef Hassan fell at the No. 2 position 6-2. Fresno State locked in the doubles point when Xander Veys and Cagatay Soke took the win at the No. 3 position 6-4.

The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead into singles play.

Singles – San Diego responded by taking the win at the No. 1 position, when Bugailiskis fell in three sets (5-7, 6-1, 6-1). Moser was bested in straight sets at the No. 2 position (6-2, 6-2).

Erturk defeated his opponent at the No. 5 position in straight sets (6-2, 6-2). Osorio got the win for the Bulldogs at the No. 6 position in three sets 6-3, 4-6, 7-5.

San Diego took the point at the No. 3 position when Veys fell at the No. 3 position 6-4, 7-6. Soke fell at the No. 4 position in three sets (7-5, 0-6, 6-2).
