COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. –  The Fresno State men's tennis team defeated Air Force 7-0 in the its Mountain West opener. The Bulldogs won their MW opener for the second consecutive year.Â
Fresno State improves to 11-8 (1-0 MW).
Doubles – Fresno State won the doubles point.
Xander Veys and Cagatay Soke took the win on court #2 6-2. The Bulldogs secured the doubles point when Mantas Bugailiskis and Cem Erturk defated their opponents in a tiebreaker 7-6(3).
The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead into doubles.
Singles – Veys put the 'Dogs up 2-0 when he defeated his opponent in straight sets (6-2, 6-3). The Bulldogs took a 3-0 lead when Erturk bested his opponent in three sets (3-6, 6-2, 6-0).
Fresno State clinched the match when Zdenek Derkas defeated his opponent in three sets (3-6, 6-4, 6-1).
The match was played out, Fresno State finished the match with wins from Jeremy Moser at the No. 4 position, Soke at the No. 5 position and Osorio at the No. 6 position.
