'Dogs blank Bison, 7-0

NORMAN, Okla. – The Fresno State men's tennis team defeated Oklahoma Baptist 7-0, on the road. The match was scheduled for March 26 but was postponed due to weather.

Fresno State improves to 12-9 on the season.

Doubles – The Bulldogs notched the doubles point.

Fresno State chalked a sweep in doubles. Mantas Bugailiskis and Cem Erturk bested their opponent at the No. 1 position 6-2. At the No. 2 position, Xander Veys and Cagatay Soke chalked a 6-1 win. Youssef Hassan and Zdenek Derkas defeated their opponents at the No. 3, 6-2.

Singles – Fresno State blanked Oklahoma Baptist in singles play.

Veys defeated his opponent at the No. 1 position (6-1, 6-4). At the No. 2 position, Derkas bested his opponent in straight sets (6-2, 6-2).
The Bulldogs extended her lead at the No. 3 position when Jeremy Moser defeated his opponent. Erturk chalked the win at the No. 4 position (6-3, 6-4).

Soke recorded the win at the No. 5 position when he defeated his opponent (6-2, 6-0). Henrique Osorio bested his opponent at the No. 6 position in straight sets (6-0, 6-0).

What's next – Fresno State will face No. 15 Oklahoma State on Wednesday, March 28 at 3 p.m. PT.
