COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Soon-to-be Fresno State Wrestling sophomore heavyweight AJ Nevills along with three Valley Regional Training Center athletes are currently training at the Greco/Freestyle World Team Camps hosted at the Olympic Training Center.
Nevills, who finished his freshman season with a 28-10 overall record, a runner-up finish at the Big 12 Championships and a berth in the NCAA Championships, was invited to train at the Greco World Team Camp.
In addition, Valley RTC athletes and Bulldog Wrestling assistant coaches Jason Chamberlain & Joe Colon, members of the USA National Team, along with Valley RTC athlete Blaize Caball are participating in the Freestyle Training Camp.
"This is a great opportunity to come here and learn and train with some of the best wrestlers and athletes in the country," said Nevills. "I just want to continue to work and grind and get better and know that coming here to train will help with that process to help me reach my goals" added Nevills.
Training with many of the top wrestlers from around the country, the World Team camps started on July 15 and will run through July 31 as Nevills prepares for the 2018-19 Bulldog season while Colon, Chamberlain and Cabell continue to work for future competition this year.
