No. 3 Fresno State to face No. 6 Nevada in MW Championship quarterfinal match

FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State men's tennis team, host of the 2019 Mountain West Men's Tennis Championship, will serve up its first match at 6 p.m. versus Nevada on Thursday at the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center. The No. 3 seed Bulldogs, and No. 6 seed Wolf Pack, will be the final match of four quarterfinal matches on the opening day.

The tournament continues on Friday with semifinal action starting at 11 a.m. followed by the championship match on Saturday at 1 p.m.
TICKETS
Single session tickets for Thursday, Friday and Saturday are $10 for adults and $5 for children. All-session tickets/wristbands are $20 for adults and $10 for children. Tickets will begin being sold one hour prior to the start of competition each day. There will be free admission for Fresno State students.

For the third consecutive year, Fresno State (15-10, 5-2 MW) enters the championship as a fourth seed or better under fourth-year head coach Luke Shields. Throughout the last three years, the Bulldogs own a 16-5 record in league play and reached the MW championship match a season ago.Â
Thursday's quarterfinal match marks the third encounter between the Bulldogs and the Wolf Pack this season. The Bulldogs bested the Wolf Pack 4-3 to win the 2019 Golden State Invite title on March 21, before topping the Wolf Pack again in their regular season finale, 4-1, on April 20.
