Five Bulldogs in WIN Magazine's preseason rankings

NEWTON, Iowa - WIN Magazine released its preseason rankings on Wednesday as five Bulldogs were ranked in the top 20 in their respective weight classes.
Returning all five NCAA Championship qualifiers from a year ago, all five find themselves in the WIN Magazine rankings.
Fresh off an All-American finish at the 2019 NCAA Championships, senior Josh Hokit checks in third at 197 pounds. Junior heavyweight AJ Nevills ranks 14th at heavyweight after qualifying for his second NCAA Championships a year ago.
Rounding out the ranked 'Dogs is redshirt senior Khristian Olivas who checks in 16th at 149 pounds followed by redshirt sophomores Gary Joint and Jackson Hemauer who are each ranked 18th at 133 & 184 pounds, respectively.Â
Also on Wednesday, Fresno State Wrestling head coach Troy Steiner was named a volunteer coach for the 2019 U.S Women's Freestyle World Team that will compete on Sept. 17-20 at the 2019 World Wrestling Championships in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.
This will be Steiner's fifth time as a coach for the Women's World Team joining 2003, 2007, 2015 and 2018 as the women's team finished third at the 2018 World Championships in Budapest.
