Bulldogs finish ITA Kick-Off Weekend with sweep of Temple

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Fresno State's men's tennis team finished the ITA Kick-Off Weekend strong with a 4-0 sweep over Temple at Florida's Linder Stadium. It is the Bulldogs' first win of the year.
Doubles
Fresno State earned their first point of the match with multiple wins in doubles play. Their first came from the pair of Zdenek Derkas and Angus Bradshaw at the No. 2 spot 6-1. The second being at the No. 1 spot from Cagatay Stoke and Johannes Seeman who notched their second doubles win of the weekend.
Singles
No. 124 Zdenek Derkas led Fresno State in singles play, winning (6-1, 6-1) at the No. 1 spot against Temple's Louis Gorregues. With a No. 2 spot win from Angus Bradshaw (6-3, 6-1) and a Cagatay Soke victory at No. 5 (6-3, 6-3), the Bulldogs sealed their first win of the season in decisive fashion.
