'Dogs open home slate with Peppperdine

FRESNO, Calif -- Fresno State's men's tennis team is set to compete in their first home match of the season this week, taking on Pepperdine Saturday at 2 p.m. PT.

The team is currently 3-2 after gaining two wins this past week against UCSB and Cal Poly. The Bulldogs Alexey Aleschev ended the week 4-0 after winning two matches in both single and doubles play.

SCOUTING THE WAVES
Pepperdine is currently 5-0 thus far, and are led by sophomore Carrado Summaria who's ranked No. 47 in the country. The Waves have claimed wins against teams such as UCSB and Washington.

Last time out - Pepperdine's last outing was a 5-2 win in Seattle against Washington.

Series history - Fresno State's only match up with Pepperdine in the last six seasons came last year, in which the Bulldogs won 6-1.
