After winning back-to-back Mountain West tournament championships in its first two seasons in the league (2013, 2014), Fresno State secured its first MW regular season crown on Wednesday with a 78-76 win over second-place San Jose State.
- It is the fifth time a Bulldog team has won a conference regular season championship, winning four in the Western Athletic Conference (2007-08*, 2008-09, 2009-10, 2011-12).
- With a win Saturday, the 'Dogs will clinch their third outright conference title, joining the 2009-10 and 2011-12 teams.

Trailing by two with just under 32 seconds left, and the Spartans with possession, Maddi Utti stole an inbound pass that turned into a transition layup for Wytalla Motta from Hanna Cavinder. The defense then came up with a stop and called a timeout with under four seconds to go. Entering the game for the first time, Bree Delaney lofted a pass to the backside of the rim that Utti caught in mid-air and laid in off the backboard to give the 'Dogs the lead.

With the Bulldogs clinching a share of the Mountain West regular season championship on Feb. 12, Fresno State is the first team in Division I to claim its conference's regular season title during the 2019-20 season.

With Fresno State's win over San Jose State on Saturday, the Bulldogs improved their longest win streak to open a Mountain West season (14-0). It surpassed the 9-0 start that occurred during Jaime White's first season in Fresno (2014-15).
- This year's win streak to open conference play is the second-longest in Fresno State history behind the 16 in 2009-10.

- Fresno State enters Saturday's contest at Utah State looking to secure the Mountain West outright regular season title after clinching a share of it on Wednesday night with a 78-76 win over second-place San Jose State at the Save Mart Center. The win also clinched the No. 1 seed at next month's conference tournament.
- The regular season championship is the first in the Mountain West for the Bulldogs. They had previously won four during their time in the Western Athletic Conference (2008*, 2009, 2010, 2012).
- Fresno State became the first Division I women's basketball team to clinch a conference title this season, doing so on Feb. 12.
- Sitting at 21-4, and with four games remaining, Fresno State is looking to pass the program's best regular season which stands at 25-5 (2010-11).
- The Bulldogs 21 wins are the most in a season through Feb. 14 in program history.
- This season marks the 17th time Fresno State has won 20 games in a year. All but four of those have come in the last two decades.
- The Bulldogs are the first team since Colorado State in 2016 to start 14-0 in Mountain West play. It is the second-longest win streak to open any conference season in Fresno State history.
- Fresno State's current 13-game win streak is tied for the fourth-longest active streak in the nation.
- Fresno State is one of three teams in the country to have three players average over 15 points per game (Fresno State, Oregon, UConn).
- Utah State is 7-18 this season, 2-12 in conference play.
- Utah State is coming off of a 67-61 defeat in Logan, Utah against Colorado State as the Rams knocked down 15 3-pointers.
- The Aggies have been outscored by an average of 8.6 points per game, 12th in the conference, and scoring a league-low 59.5.
- Utah State is being outrebounded by 2.0 per game which ranks eighth in the MW.
- The Aggies also have a trio of scorers who are all averaging double figures. Hailey Bassett leads the team in 13.2 points per game while Lindsey Jensen-Baker (12.4) and Steph Gorman (11.1)
- Fresno State leads the all-time series 24-4.
- The Bulldogs are 8-3 on the road against the Aggies.
