Fresno State finishes 2-0 at Golden Coast Invitational

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Fresno State finished off the weekend winning two matches in two days at the Golden Coast Invitational. The Bulldogs closed the tournament on Sunday with a 4-2 win against Sacramento State, extending their win streak to eight straight matches.
Fresno State is now 10-2 overall, with one match before beginning conference play.
How It Happened
Doubles
The 'Dogs dropped doubles the point. The first loss came at the No. 1 spot with Angus Bradshaw and Aleksandr Myagkov falling to Sacramento State's Liam Liles and Mark Keki, 6-2.
The next loss came at the No. 3 spot with Alexey Aleschev and Reece Falck dropping their matchup, 6-3.
Singles
Fresno State opened up singles play with Myagkov winning at the No. 4 spot, 6-1, 6-3, to tie up the match.
The Hornets responded with a win at the No. 2 spot, where Keki defeated Bradshaw, 6-1, 6-3. The loss marks Bradshaw's first of the season and puts him at 10-1 overall in singles play.
Despite the Hornets leading, Fresno State took the next three singles matchups to seal the dual. The first win came from Henrique Osorio at the No. 6 spot, 6-1, 6-0, and the next at the No. 5 spot from Falck, 6-2, 6-2.
The final win came from Aleschev, who clinched the match at the No. 3 spot, 7-5, 6-1.
