Bulldogs open conference play on Sunday with Air Force

FRESNO, Calif. -- The Fresno State men's tennis team opens up conference play on Sunday at 10 a.m. PT with its match against Air Force. The Bulldogs head into the match against the Falcons with a nine-match winning streak after their latest win against Santa Clara.Â

Fresno State is currently 11-2 overall heading into a five-match conference stretch in the latter half of their schedule. The Bulldogs are 52-16 overall in singles play. Five of Fresno State's top seven have two losses or less on their records.

Senior Angus Bradshaw leads the team in singles wins with an overall record of 10-2, and fellow senior Zdenek Derkas close behind with an overall record of 8-3. With Derkas' last win, he moved into top-10 all time in singles wins at Fresno State.Â

Air Force heads into Sunday with a 4-5 record and coming off of a loss against Sacramento State. The team has two players leading the team with five singles wins, John Waldman who holds a 5-4 record with all matches played at the No. 2 spot, and Robert Baylon also with a 5-4 overall record primarily at the No 4 spot.Â

Last time out - The Falcons last match came March 25 and resulted in a 4-3 loss against Sacramento State.
