A look at the UNLV Rebels
UNLV is 8-7 on the season with a 6-6 mark in the Mountain West coming off being swept at Air Force last weekend.
The Rebels are 6-2 at home and won a home MW series over Nevada, swept New Mexico at home and defeated Washington State in a midweek contest.
UNLV ranks third in the MW and 11th nationally in batting average hitting .308 and leads the MW with 16 home runs and a .396 slugging percentage.
Junior infielder Diego Alarcon leads the team and ranks seventh in the MW hitting .375 and has a team-high 24 hits. Junior catcher Eric Bigani leads the team with eight doubles and a .593 slugging percentage.
The Rebels have a staff ERA of 4.96 which ranks second in the MW and UNLV leads the MW in walks allowed per nine innings (2.55). UNLV sits second in the MW in strikeout-to-walk ratio in 2.65 with 98 strikeouts and 37 walks and are holding opponents to a .297 average.
Conner Woods and Jimmy Gamboa lead the team with two wins apiece and Bradley Spooner has a team-high 19 strikeouts in 17.2 innings.

With one more win, head coach Mike Batesole will win his 600th game at Fresno State and with two more wins, he will pass Pete Beiden for second all-time in wins at Fresno State as the longtime skipper (1948-69) went 600-268 in 21 seasons.
