'Dogs drop final road match of the year 4-3 at UNLV

LAS VEGAS – Fresno State ended their final road weekend of the year in a tightly-fought match against UNLV, falling 4-3. The match came down to the final point of the third set on Court 3 (7-5).
Fresno State sits at 15-4 overall this season, 4-2 in Mountain West play, as the team heads into the final week of the regular season.
Doubles
The Bulldogs earned an early lead in the match in doubles play. Despite UNLV taking the No. 3 spot against the pairing of Dario Huber and Reece Falck, 6-3, the Bulldogs' pair of Aleksandr Myagkov and Dario Huber took the No. 2 spot 6-2.
Fresno State clinched the point by taking the No. 1 spot, with Angus Bradshaw and Zdenek Derkas pulling out a 6-4 victory to end doubles play.
Singles
UNLV jumped out to an early lead against the Bulldogs to open up singles play. The Rebels grabbed the No. 1 match with Alex Kobelt defeating Derkas 6-3, 6-2, and shortly after, Eric Samuelsson ousted Huber for a No. 2 spot win, 6-4, 6-3.
Fresno State tied things up with Falck winning at the No. 6 spot, 6-2, 7-5, but UNLV regained the lead with a win at the No. 5 spot with Aleschev falling 6-1, 7-5.
The entire match came down to the No. 3 and No. 4 matchups, and Fresno State won the first of these two with Aleksandr Myagkov coming from down a set to take the match at No. 4, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. The dual was decided at the No. 3 spot which in which Milos Dabic outlasted Bradshaw 6-2, 4-6, 7-5.

The 'Dogs are set to host four matches in three days this week, beginning with a doubleheader against Fresno City on Thursday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. PT.
