Fresno State Athletics is celebrating its centennial year and the 2021 football season will be the 100th season of competition in program history.
Saturday's matchup will be the 10th meeting in the history of the series with Oregon. The Ducks lead the all-time series 7-2, and are on a seven-game winning streak.
Fresno State's 45-0 win over UConn last Saturday marked the first time the Bulldogs have opened the season 1-0 since 2018.
Fresno State is riding a two-game winning streak versus ranked opponents.
Four Bulldogs saw their first start in a Fresno State uniform last Saturday in transfers Ty Jones, Elijah Gates and Tyson Maeva, and junior Leonard Payne Jr.
Fresno State earned two Mountain West Player of the Week honors following its week 0 win - Arron Mosby (Defensive) and Cale Sanders Jr. (Freshman).
Fresno State showed off its offensive depth and had 11 different Bulldogs catch at least one pass in last week's game. This was the first time the Bulldogs had that many players with a reception since a 56-16 win over Southern Utah at Bulldog Stadium on Sept. 20, 2014.
Fresno State's offensive line showed its growth last time out, as it did not allow a sack in a game for the first time since facing Arizona State in the 2018 Las Vegas Bowl.
Fresno State shut out UConn, 45-0. The 'Dogs held their opponent to no points for the first time since a 38-0 victory over New Mexico on Oct. 14, 2017. The 45-point margin of victory was the largest win for Fresno State since a 48-3 win at UNLV on Nov. 3, 2018.
Senior running back Ronnie Rivers became the program's all-time leader in career touchdowns scored last time out, breaking into the end zone for the 45th time of his career.
Now in his second year under center, Jake Haener has proven himself as one of the top quarterbacks in the conference. Haener opened the 2021 season completing 20-of-26 passes for 331 yards, and throwing for three touchdowns.
Defensive end Arron Mosby kickstarted the Bulldogs' energy last Saturday with a strip sack that he recovered, and returned for a touchdown in the first quarter.
Fresno State saw two true freshmen record stats on the defensive side of the ball last Saturday in Cale Sanders Jr (CB) and Emari Pait (H).
