Since the calendar turned to September, Fresno State has begun to find its groove. While the Bulldogs were 0-2 in August, they are 2-1-1 this month, while playing each of those matches within their home state.

BUILDING A WALL
During the last four games, the 'Dogs have allowed just one goal. It is the least amount of the goals allowed by Fresno State during a four-match stretch since 2016 (Sept. 4-18). The 'Dogs allowed seven in its previous two outings.

- With shutouts against Saint Mary's and UCSB, the Bulldogs notched back-to-back shutouts for the first time since recording a pair of 2-0 wins over Wyoming and Nevada on Oct. 13 and Oct. 17 of 2019.
- The Bulldogs have seen three keepers play during the stretch. Ella Wilson and Valentina Vivas have split the starts while Wilson has played the most minutes of the group with 290.
- The same four defenders have started the last three matches (Kylie Lucero, Jordan Lau, Robyn McCarthy, Chais Wright).
- The center back pairing of Lau and McCarthy have combined for 600 minutes in September.
HATS OFF
On Sept. 9, Kassandra Ceja did something that only seven other Bulldogs have ever done. In just 33 minutes, the sophomore recorded the 13th hat trick in program history in Fresno State's 5-0 win over UCSB.

- It was the first hat trick by a Bulldog since Oct. 13, 2017 (Julia Glaser vs. UNLV).
- Ceja entered that game scoreless in the team's first five games of the season.
- The hat trick came in the 16th match of Ceja's career.
HIGH FIVE
While Kassandra Ceja started the scoring on on Sept. 9 against UCSB, Sheyenne Hodge and Kaelyn Miller finished it as Fresno State routed the Gauchos 5-0. It was the most goals by a Bulldog team since Oct. 10, 2004 versus Nevada (5-1).
- It was the ninth time in Fresno State's 27-year history that the Bulldogs have scored at least five goals in a game.
- The five-goal margin of victory was the largest for Fresno state since Sept. 12, 2004 versus Sacramento State (5-0).
HOME UNBEATEN STREAK PUSHES INTO 2021
Starting on Oct. 3, 2019, Fresno State has not lost at home, a stretch of 11 matches, passing the previous best of nine which was set under Brian Zwaschka during the 2010 and 2011 seasons.

SCOUTING SACRAMENTO STATE
- The Hornets enter Saturday's match with a 1-5-1 overall record.Â
- Looking at common opponents, Sacramento State is 0-3-1 with losses to (Saint Mary's, Pacific, UCSB) and a draw with CSU Bakersfield. Fresno State was 2-1-1 in those matchups.
- The Hornets' one win came in a 3-0 rout of Nevada.
- The Hornets have been outscored 14-6 and outshot 123-51.
- Abigail Lopez and Samantha Craig each have two goals on the year for Sacramento State.
- Katie Price has played in goal in five of the Hornets' seven games, holding a 1.32 goals against average. She has 30 saves on the year.
