HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS... AND WHERE POINTS COME
To say Fresno State has been dominant at home against Mountain West opponents in recent seasons is an understatement. In their last 21 home conference matches, which dates back to a 2-1 win over San Diego State on Sept. 30, 2018, their first win over the Aztecs since 2000, the Bulldogs are 15-4-4.
No. 100
On Oct. 2, Head Coach Brian Zwaschka earned his 100th career win with a 1-0 result against Nevada at Bulldog Soccer Stadium. All 100 wins have come at Fresno State following appointment as head coach of the Bulldogs in 2009.
CEJA FINDING THE BACK OF THE NET
Fresno State's first goal of the 2022 season came none other than the team's active leader in career goals, Kassandra Ceja. With 12 goals in 31 games, entering the year, it took the junior 12 games to move into the program's Top 10 with her 16th.
PULLING THE STRINGS
In two-and-a-half seasons, running the show for the Bulldogs' offense has been Kassandra Ceja. With her assist on the game-winner versus Nevada, the junior recorded her 40th career point. It was also the eighth assist of her career.
HITTING THE NET AT THE RIGHT TIME
Looked to be one of Fresno State's primary scoring threats in 2022, Kaelyn Miller hadn't scored in the team's first 11 games. Miller broke her drought on Oct. 2 netting the game-winner in a 1-0 match versus Nevada.
