- Fresno State hosts the 17th annual Fresno State Classic, this season hosted at Belmont Country Club in Fresno, Calif.
- The event is being hosted at Belmont Country Club for the first time in its 17-year history.
- The Bulldogs finished as runner-ups at the 2021 version of the Fresno State Classic, shooting 11-over-par at Copper River Country Club. Stanford was the team champion, shooting a 54-hole tournament record 18-under. The Cardinal also had the individual champion in Rachel Heck who set a tournament record with a 16-under-par 200.
- Fresno State last won its home tournament in 2016 at San Joaquin Country Club.
