'Dogs set for first series with ACU

The Wildcats are 16-17 on the season with a 7-8 mark in the WAC tied for third in the Southwest Division and are coming off a 15-5 win at home over UT Arlington in seven innings on Tuesday.
ACU is 4-5 on the road with wins at UTRGV, TCU and two against Lamar while the Wildcats are 12-12 at home.
The Wildcats are hitting .292 as a team to rank fourth in the WAC and sit second in the conference averaging 7.3 runs per game sitting only behind Sam Houston. Colton Eager is leading ACU hitting .356 from the plate leading the team in at-bats (132) hits (47), doubles (14), RBI (34), total bases (80) and slugging percentage (.606).

- In addition, the 'Dogs posted their second shutout of the season with five pitchers combining for a four-hit shutout, the most pitchers the 'Dogs have used in a shutout since seven were used in a 13-0 win over Cal Poly on Feb. 25, 2020.
- Ivan Luna set single game career highs in at-bats (6), runs (3), hits (4), RBI (5) and smacked a pair of home runs.
