- The Bulldogs' running back room features a deep group behind Donelson, including returners Elijah Gilliam, Johnathan Arceneaux, and Brandon Ramirez. The Bulldogs also brought in Arizona transfer Rayshon "Speedy" Luke who will make an impact
- The Bulldogs have three key players back from injury -- DB Camryn Bracha, OL Campbell McHarg and WR Josiah Freeman. The trio did not finish the 2024 season due to injury, but are all slated to start in the Week 0 matchup at Kansas
- On Fresno State's Week 0 2-deep, there are 23 players who have not played in a game for Fresno State -- 10 on offense, 11 on defense, two on special teams (not including the returners, they are counted on offense).
- Fresno State looks ahead to its final season of football in the Mountain West, as the school will change conferences to the Pac-12 in 2026. Fresno State will head to the Pac-12 with Mountain West members Boise State, Colorado State, San Diego State and Utah State
