Bulldogs end indoor regular season on high note

RENO, Nev. - The Fresno State track and field team wrapped up at the Battle Born Classic on Saturday.
Liz Tarczy took second in the high jump. Her jump of 1.79m/5-10.5 was her second-highest jump of the season.
In the 400, Hayden Craft ran her race in 59.33 while Trinity Bailey did hers in 59.69.
Madison Hutton ran in the 800m on Saturday, finishing with the second-fastest time by a Bulldog in the event this season (2:21.71).
Itzia Mejia Garcia continued her special weekend with a season-best 24.10 in the 200m. Her time on Saturday was just a one hundredth of a second off of her personal-best set in 2024. She earned a Top 10 finish in the race, finishing ninth. Jai'ya Jones had a time of 24.78, the third-fastest time by a Bulldog this season in her first career run in the race. Zoe-Analia Goldsmith also ran in a time of 24.99, a season-best.
SEATTLE, Wash. - The Bulldog distance runners completed race action at the Husky Invite on Saturday.
Nayla Martin had the second-fastest mile time in program history, clocking a time of 4:49.93 on Saturday. Martin saw a collegiate indoor best in the race on Saturday.Â
Also in the mile, Hannah Pacheco was on pace with her season-best with a time of 5:04.78. Khushleen Khakh finished in 5:10.22 and Leah Mendibles in 5:12.04. Kylie Ward had a time of 5:13.83.
Up Next: The Bulldogs will return to Reno for the Mountain West Indoor Championships on February 26-28. Fresno State also gets its outdoor season started next week at the Sunbird Invitational on Feb. 21.
