FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State track and field team is set to compete at the 2026 Credit Union 1 Outdoor Mountain West Conference Championships this week at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis, Calif. The three-day event will begin Thursday and wrap up on Saturday.

The Bulldogs have hosted the Mountain West Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Veterans Memorial Stadium for the last seven consecutive seasons, this weekend will be the eighth season.

This weekend's track and field championships are also the final home-hosted events for Fresno State Athletics in the 2025-26 season.

Fresno State has a handful of athletes in scoring position heading into the conference championship, including some with sights set on a podium finish.

- Liz Tarczy: The junior Bulldog is the defending outdoor high jump champion, winning at the last two outdoor championships. She is also the indoor high jump champion from earlier this season. Tarczy currently sits third in the MW, behind athletes from Air Force and New Mexico. Tarczy has earned two event wins this season, and added another runner-up finish on the year. Tarczy will also compete in the long jump this weekend, her first time competing in multiple events at the championship.
- Zoe Yeast: The senior Bulldog is prepared for her first and final outdoor Mountain West Championship this weekend. She currently is No. 2 in the conference in the hammer throw, behind an athlete from Colorado State. Yeast has dominated in the hammer throw this season, earning six Top 3 finishes on the year. Her top mark of 62.62m is currently No. 7 all-time at Fresno State.
- Tearra Haney: The senior Bulldog competes in a handful of throws events for the Bulldogs. In the conference standings, she is currently 8th in the discus, 7th in the hammer throw and 8th in the javelin.
- Jabari King: The junior Bulldog is currently 3rd in the MW in the long jump. He has six Top 5 finishes on the year, including two wins. King looks for his first-ever podium finish at the outdoor championship this weekend.
- Josh Dunu: The junior Bulldog sits fourth in the MW in the triple jump. Of his six meets this season, he has had a Top 3 finish four times.

A handful of Bulldogs have posted Top 10 marks this season:
- Nayla Martin: the first-year Bulldog had a personal-best time in the women's 1500m run, clocking a time of 4:26.63 at the Bryan Clay Invitational. She had the fastest time by a Bulldog in the event since 2017, and currently sits at No. 3 all-time.She also broke into the Top 10 in the 800m run at the Fresno State Invitational, sitting No. 8 with a time of 2:09.62.
- Rhiannon Walker: another first year Bulldog, Walker is No. 4 all-time in the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 10:44.30. She took first in the event at the Cal Invitational, her first Division I steeplechase race.
- Kylie Ward: right behind Walker is Ward, sitting sixth all-time in the 3,000m steeplechase Top 10. Ward clocked a time of 10:58.62 to jump up on the all-time list. The junior ran her fastest race since last year's MW Championship.
- Zoe Yeast: In the women's hammer throw, Yeast sits at No. 7 with a mark of 62.62m/205-5 at the Fresno State Invitational last time out. She took second at the event, continuing her trend this season of at least a third place finish in each meet.
